Daniel Craig To Take On Cowboys And Aliens?
January 14, 2010 |15:45 | James Bond | News By : Team X
DreamWorks isn't all too bugged out that Sherlock Holmes' Robert Downey Jr. has decided to pull out of their sci-fi Western, Cowboys And Aliens because they may have James Bond in their corner.
The Hollywood Reporter has it on good authority that Bond's Daniel Craig is in talks to take over the lead role left open when RDJ dropped out earlier this week.
DreamWorks is eager to begin shooting the movie this year to release it in 2011 and is hoping Craig will accept the offer. RDJ left the shoot for fear that it would clash with a possible Holmes sequel.
Cowboys And Aliens explores what would happen if the Old West's cowboys and indians team up to fight off an alien invasion in the mid-1800.
The movie is to be directed by Jon Favreau and is being co-produced by Steven Spielberg, Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Damon Lindelof. Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci will put on producer and script writer caps.
