The Activision-published title will be called Blood Stone, according to details on a Eurythmics fan site - corroborating retailer listings from earlier in the year. According to GamePron, the game is in development for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 - although the earlier retail listing also had it down for Wii, too.

The game will reportedly feature a story by screenwriter Bruce Feirstein (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough), and the likenesses of singer/songwriter and actress Joss Stone as a Bond girl, alongside Daniel Craig and Judi Dench. The report says the game will also feature 16-player multiplayer support. A very official-sounding quote from David Pokress, Head of Marketing for Licensed Properties, Activision Publishing is included:

"James Bond 007: Blood Stone captures the cinematic intensity of a Bond film by immersing players in an intriguing conspiracy that will require them to think and act like James Bond. In addition, the game will feature a diverse array of multi-player modes and debut strategic objective-based gameplay that will allow Xbox 360, PS3 and PC players to battle.

As teams of spies and mercenaries through authentic Bond locales." And, no, we're not really sure why all this cropped up on a Eurythmics fan site, either - although early reports suggest Annie Lennox right-hand man Dave Stewart is writing some music for Blood Stone.
